Introducing the Module
Objectives of the Module:
- Introducing students to English literature outside of the UK / postcolonial literature and its key terms.
- Understanding the deep relationship between literature and the socio-political changes of certain contexts, i.e., former colonies.
- Developing the ability to critically read, analyse, and discuss (postcolonial) literary texts.
- Recognising the representation of British culture by third world writers from their own points of view.
