(PhD)A propulsion Mechanics course by Ali Boukhari

Objectives of the Teaching:

The main purpose of the course is to familiarize the student with the constructive elements, the operation and the energy calculation of thermal propulsion turbomachines (gas turbine, turbojet, rocket engine).

Recommended Prerequisite Knowledge:

To successfully engage with the course material, it is recommended that students have a solid understanding of the following subjects:

Thermodynamics: Good understanding of the fundamental principles of thermodynamics as applied to thermal machines.

Gas dynamics: Basic knowledge of fluid dynamics concepts especially those related to gas dynamics.

Se familiariser avec les modèles de recherche opérationnelle. Apprendre à formuler et à résoudre les problèmes d’optimisation et maitriser les techniques et les algorithmes appropriés.

Computational fluid dynamics (CFD) is a science that, with the help of digital computers, produces quantitative predictions of fluid-flow phenomena based on the conservation laws (conservation of mass, momentum, and energy) governing fluid motion
